We continued our popular Partners in Design event series in March with a visit from Lori Conarton of MorningLory Café & Bakery. For the last several years, we have hosted a new design partner each month in our Lansing, MI showroom. We have a wide range of businesses and organizations that have participated in our events series, each one sharing their knowledge, expertise, and experience with our participants. These monthly Partners in Design events are a highlight of our calendar at McDaniels Kitchen and Bath. The unique range of event partners has allowed us to discover the amazing range of businesses and organizations our community has to offer, ranging from food establishments to gift stores and volunteer organizations.

Who Was Our March Design Partner?
In March, we welcomed Lori Conarton of MorningLory Café & Bakery to our Lansing, MI showroom. This charming Dimondale, MI café opened in the summer of 2018. It aims to provide a place where people can gather, talk over a hot cup of coffee and enjoy homecooked food that they didn’t have to cook at home.
What Happened at Our March Event?
We had a fun and very informative session with Lori in our Lansing, MI showroom. She took us through her journey of opening the bakery and café and her drive to create a community meeting place. Believe it or not, Lori does not like to cook or bake! She has relied on her staff and their expertise to bake, create menu items, and pitch in when necessary to create a space that offers a local, welcoming customer experience.
She told us about what it is like to be a restaurant owner, and the restaurant business is not for the faint of heart or work averse It is truly a morning to night work day, with lots of things to learn and do every day. We admire her drive and honesty in creating this amazing local spot in Dimondale, Michigan.
